Are you going both days or just Sat or Sun? As it's not far from me, I was thinking of going, purely as a spectator!
Both days. I usually park my fawn Vauxhall (PX 10) overlooking Orchard from inside the paddock. It would be great to meet up.

" Auctioneer has chosen not to publish the price of this lot "

Why does an auction house do that?

£8000 plus comms.

And to answer your question, it's so companies like Invaluable and Worthpoint can charge us heaps of money via online subscriptions so we can simply look this stuff up for reference in the future.

£10880 including the eye watering 36% auction fees. Both the hammer price and the fees must be near record levels.
Even so, the buyer now has a much better machine, with a known history, than that overpriced HMV202 discussed elsewhere.
One would have thought that publishing (and no doubt taking the credit for) the high sale price would benefit the auctioneers more than the money generated by only making it available to subscribers.

£5000 plus commission so £6800 in total. I was the underbidder!
