I'd like to add that the Victor-Victrola page has a good collection of various information regarding original dealers, unfortunately only Victor dealers.
I also recently saw a cloth sign in an antique store for a Victor dealer that I thought was neat.

Does anyone have dealer information on Henry Price Hodges Music Warehouse, Southampton? I have a Cockleshell HMV sold by him, (or his shop), before he perished on the Titanic.

All I have been able to discover is that his music shop and piano warehouse were said to be the largest in Southampton.
After his death the business was sold. It must indeed have been substantial as his Estate was valued for Probate at GBP£16,694, equivalent to GBP£1,618,676 today.

Thanks! Amazing what can be researched these days. It would be great if a picture of the shop still existed.

I have been unable to discover anything about Hughes & Co, but the fact that they stocked Venus records dates the cover to between 1917 and 1920. Here is an example of this short lived label :
