It's been some weeks since I last time was on the forum, and this is what caught my attention first.
It's almost unbelievable that someone has been able to do this job. Congratulations, is a work of art .

The other of my 202 cabinet also had cut off lower frame and shortened legs. Just had an identical copy made from my intact cabinet. Now got a pair looking like this.

Yes a really great pair! The lower frame matching precisely.
There’s not many people who could save one of these machines missing such vital parts like the horn.
Do you have to make the grill and find grill cloth?

Thank you for all the nice words! Yes, need to make also the front grille and find some fabric close enough to the original.

Hello,
Were any drawings made of the horn that can be shared?
Sincerely,
Garret

I can see VV 8-9 victrola on these photos. How do you like the sound of it compared to hmv 202? I have a hmv 202 and a vv 8-8 school model. They sound totally different to me.

Next step painting the replica horn.
Is that strictly necessary? I mean, it's not as though it can be seen when fitted.

I can hardly wait for the result. Also the sound coming out of it will be very interesting compared to the original.
