If you're patient, adventurous and have the space for this, and you can get it cheaply, it would be a good machine to start off on then.

That's OK. I want to start learning how to fix up machines and I want something that wont be too harsh if I botch up something. Is the "Compleat Talking Machine" a reliable resource for some rebuild techiniques?

That A-100 drawer looks home-made to me?? Kinda hard to tell from the picture but, take the record storage from another DD machine, put it in some kind of box, and there you have it. I think all/most of the drawers slid out and should have a handle on the front? I have an A-100 that is a slide out drawer, on the front. George also has one that slides out on the side if my poor memory serve me correctly..Watchya think Mr. Paul?
