Hi John, thanks for participating.
Could you elaborate a bit more on number 2? I've never seen a serial number to have had the prefix "SX",

Thank you,
Fran
Hi George,
I have "amended my return".
The Serial number is correct. The plate is attached vertically inside the phonograph in the rear. I shall try to send you a photo.
3) to 3A
4) to N/A
5) to P2
6) to 6A

Thanks,
John

Thanks John.

Wow, that's a beautiful, very early Chippendale!

Best,
Fran

Hi George,
Thanks. I know it's "only" a C250 Chippendale but, you know how it goes, I just had to have it. I removed the red grill cloth because I thought it looked great without it. I showed a picture of it to my Granddaughter and she said "Yuk, that's ugly". Of course she is only 21 and you know how that is :o .

Hi folks,

Because of the significant changes I've made to this survey over the years, I've decided to update my post to reflect those changes, with a new version of the survey.

Those who have already participated in the study don't need to re-submit their information, this thread will remain for those who may want to use it for reference.

For those wishing to participate after 3/21/2018, please use the following link to go to the new "C250/C19 Database Survey" page found here: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =2&t=34692

Best regards,
Fran

For any not aware, if you'd like to know an estimate of when your Chippendale C250/19 was manufactured, the Antique Phonograph Society features a nifty guide, here: https://www.antiquephono.org/edison-c-2 ... -1925-pdf/

Best regards,
Fran
