I'll agree with some of the other members regarding price, a couple hundred if you're lucky.
If I was at the auction, I would probably not bid on it at all as the only
value to me would be the parts, and I wouldn't want to part out and
destroy this machine.

It is almost impossible to predict what the machine might bring at auction. Collector purists would probably not bid on it, but if it is not a specialty auction they probably wouldn't be there anyhow. If there are people in the room who really love mission style furniture, or fall in love with its eccentricity, or see something significant in it we've missed, or there is a decorator there for whom it would fit right into some current project, etc., it could do fairly well. Auctions are always a crap shoot.

Let us know what it brings.

I've been to some auctions where a machine fetches 3 times what I would have valued it at, just because two people
really wanted it.

I'm responding to one of your earlier posts and photos. Judging by what I see of your crank, I'm willing to bet 5 to one you got a female crank.

Responding to another one of your posts. My comment about Hepplewhite was only meant to illustrate that just because your cabinet shares a feature common to much Hepplewhite case furniture, no one would call this cabinet Hepplewhite in style. Likewise a departure in one feature from the norm of a style doesn't make it any less influenced by that style. That's all. Nothing more.

I don't know much about prices, but I think it's true the demand is for pieces in as close to original state as possible. Still, when something departs from the norm, that gives the piece a story, doesn't it?

I'll try and get a photo of my wooden horn this weekend.
