I did buy about 20 records, a Victor needle box (the cardboard one with spaces for various toned needles and used needles), some perfectly preserved late 20s Victor Orthophonic sleeves, and (from the same seller) a very nice Viva-tonal 160 portable. I will feature this one in a bit.3victrolas wrote:I did see a number of things sell but I don't know how well this year did compared to last years sales. I also noted that attendance did seem to be down a little (fewer cars in the parking lot) despite the fact that gasoline prices are better than last year. BTW, you are right concerning prices on the high end stuff. To me, prices seemed pretty much like last year.

Sharon----thanks for the response. An electric motor! Now it makes more sense. Looks like there are a few odds & ends there that are not strictly phonographic, which is fine. I'll really have to try to get to Union one of these days, if only to see up close those great rare beasts that I've only ever seen in books. Sounds like I'd better bring a few months pay with me when I go....Guess I'll start saving up now.
