You got yourself an awesome project and I’m sure you will get lots more satisfaction from your Circassian L-door project with lots less investment than $6050, like me for mine (price includes auction fees).

It’s a now quest to find and read the poem this quote from Russell Edison to interpret the point made...
Otherwise, it was good to see I’m not the one who’s paid the most for a Circassian Walnut L-Door. One went for $6900 (including fees) at Donley’s auction yesterday. Wanted the VTLA Circassian to add to the collection but that went for $10350 (including fees). Wow-we!

I watched the auctions yesterday for a few hours to see the Circassian go across the block.
I took a few images with my phone of the end of the auctions.
Lot 60: 19,000 ( + buyers prem) VV-XV!! Circassian
Lot90: 9,500 ( 11,658 with prem) VTLA Circassian
Lot 110: 6,500 ( 7,995 with prem) LDoor XVI Circassian
Lot130: 4,500 ( 5,535 with prem) Model 130 Circassian
Lot 150: 4,250 ( 5227 with prem ) VV-XVI Circassian
These were all I had time to watch.

Looking at the auctions on ebay, it looks like they all went to the same buyer.
Is that because it was a live auction covered by many sites? Or did one buyer purchase
most of the high end items?
Looking now at the Donley site it said these machines were won from an on site bidder.
The buyer name on ebay must have been the auction site.
