You are all naming two or three or more. I guess it shows how badly we all suffer from the disease.

What are you talking about??? I want ONE Regina Hexaphone, ONE Polyphone Gem, and ONE Class M!!!!
PS:I love those Keen-O-Phones with the outside horns. Great grouping....

Orthosean,
The one that Carsten has on his website is not a Deca Disc. The remains of Deca Disc were bought out and the machine he is showing is what the new company did with cabinets. They put on a different grill and made the juke have electric playback instead of a horn.
Read it again.

I would have to say a Columbia type S coin operated cylinder phonograph.
And, I know EVERY one wants this one but the chance may come along (if you have the money) - an Edison Class M!!!
-How would you like to be at a yard sale and see a mostly complete Class M on a table. You ask the seller the price and he sais $100! Okay, I'm dreaming now!

I wouldn't mind one of these Rosenfield Chair-Phones.

Believe it or not, something like this really happened! Around 30 years ago I saw an auction listing to take place in a town about an hour from me. There were many musical instruments, but no phonographs listed. I'm interested in old guitars, and I considered attending, but for some reason decided against it. Some months later I was visiting an acquaintance who was a banjo nut. He talked about having attended that auction and finding a couple of decent banjos...plus something else. There were many lots strewn around the farm, and my acquaintance recounted finding an Edison Phonograph back by the barn. It was filthy with dust and dirt - it had no cover. The auctioneer couldn't get a bid on it, so my acquaintance bought it for $15.00. Fifteen dollars - - for a Class M. Unfortunately, my acquaintance had sold it to a phonograph dealer before I heard about it! Had I only attended that auction!

The more I think about it, if I was limited to one machine, it very well may be a Keen-o-phone...

I found a Class M in the back of a van at a local radio hamfest 25 years ago, it was filthy and missing the case but for $25 I wasn't going to argue with the guy. I paid the money and ran
back to my truck.

Wow, certainly a lot of amazing phonographs listed that I wouldn't mind having! The Auxetophone would be great, especially if I ever fulfill my on-Again, off-Again dream of owning a restaurant or other small business, but the Keen-O-Phones are unique and beautiful, though I think I'd be happy with just a mint VV-XVIII (or even a beat-up xxiii, I'm not picky!

) Though maybe for the sake of eccentricity I'd like one of those all gold Louis XV's, if I had a palatial Versailles-esque mansion to put it in of course, lord knows there isn't a single shred of furniture in my house that would match the thing. Plus if it was in even half-decent condition I'd want to keep it under glass, so for practicality's sake I'd go for the VV-XVIII.
UPDATE:
I just remembered something, instead of the Victor 18, I think I'd want to have one of those paper diaphragm types, like the HMV Lumiere, or rather the Pathé Actuelle, that thing is sooo nifty!
