Interesting... Gilbert Girard also did a version called "How Santa Claus Carried Away & Distributed His Toys" on Columbia No.3064, with "Santa Claus Arrives" on the flip side.
The first is very similar to your version, so I can't help but wonder if Russell Hunting went uncredited on the Columbia disc.
Girard & Hunting certainly had a long association together. I've got them performing one of those auction skits on a 1904 G&T.

Russell Hunting's recording career goes back to 1891.

Yes, there is a liturgical base for my remark, but even for those who are not of religious "BENT" the Season of Christmas (as sung in the "12 Days of Christmas") Christmas song..starts on Christmas day and goes thru January 6, Epiphany...when the 3 wise men came to see the baby Jesus.

But I like Christmas music, decorations and attitude and would love for it to extend even longer than January 6!!!

That's a very nice sounding acoustic record, The bells come through with utmost clarity. Have you rebuilt the soundbox on that machine? It performs very well.

Those do sound pretty good for acoustic recordings, not the best acoustics I think I've heard, but quite good. Especially for being dubs, which they no doubt are, owing to the tell tale thumping and clunking that was a part of the Pathé dubbing process.

Thanks, I did rebuild the soundbox on that machine, but I think it was also very well recorded.
