Tinkerbell, what a beautiful job you did bring the machine back. It is not only gorgeous but it really shows what wonderful cabinet work Brunswick was doing back then. Congrats and enjoy it for a long time. Also that brass tonearm and reproducer look great, I know you want to keep it original but it sure does look classy with those parts. :)

Thank you, Mike. The brass tonearm and reproducer does complement the whole package, and it's nice to be able to actually use it now... but the purist in me looks forward to possibly putting it back to native state, too.

Tinkerbell,
Very nice machine. The wood carving is great. Thanks for posting pictures!

Hey fantastic. You turned it from a junker into something nice enough to set in any living room!

It really is quite a beautiful phono. I've always liked Brunswick machines, and being such an early model put it's a cut above the rest in my books. And in all honesty, you've done a better job with it's restoration than I've seen some people do after collecting for decades.
It's great news that Walt can save the original tonearm for you too. Once that's back on, and that scarry grille cloth is replaced, it's going to be stunning!
You should be very proud.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. It actually sits in my dining room now where one of my Christmas trees usually sits during the Christmas season, so it will be getting shuffled around again before not too long.

I have been looking at fabrics to find just the right color and texture of fabric for the replacement grille cloth (as discussed in one of my previous threads), so until I do, the "scary" cloth stays. (Which, by the way, I've grown quite fond of while I've been working on it... kind of has a history of it's own.) :rose:

It looks great and thank you for sharing the photos and experiences with the Brunswick phonograph! I hope you have a few Brunswick records to play on it too.

Thank you, OrthoSean and EdiBrunsVic. I love that it is by and large finished and sitting in my dining room now, instead of surrounded with towels, rags, bottles and cans! I hope I can find some Brunswick records, too! :rose:
