I think there will be no group social events for several months at least. The six foot and masks will be the last thing to go. This is serious stuff when you can close Disney down. Steve

This quote if from the Sanfilippo e-newsletter that came out today:
"It is with a heavy heart that we let you know all of our Spring charities events through June have been cancelled and/or moved their events to later this year or next year. We also feel for our Artists, Dave Wickerham and William Powers, who were scheduled to perform at our annual Armed Forces Day Wurlitzer Concert May 16, and the good number of Veterans and supporters that always attended. We are uncertain of the status of our Summer Concert Series beyond June at this point, but will update you soon. Having assisted charities in raising, in total, over one million dollars annually, this is a big blow to the local nonprofit community. A call to your favorite charity asking how you can help would be a very welcome sign of respect and acknowledgement for the difficult jobs these folks do under ordinary circumstances, let alone during unprecedented times."
Closed in June, so no visit to Jasper's it seems.

I hope somebody comes up with a show in the Midwest. If not there will be a lot of friends I'll never see again. I picked up most of my very good machine at union. Sorry to see union end.

This is only my opinion, but I think the Union show should be postponed. It may end up getting cancelled just on the fact that social distancing or no gathering of more than a few people may still be the law in June. I look at it this way, it's the last show at Union. If it gets pushed back to august or September or even October, what's the big deal? It still goes off and Jasper's would probably be open as well. Jasper's and Union are a pair to be enjoyed on the same trip.
With the number of members here already saying they won't take the risk of catching the virus, the show might only have a few in attendance. How sad would that be for the Union finally? Why not give Union a fair chance to go out with a bang, and not a bust.

I would have to agree that the show needs to be postponed so it can be celebrated by all as the last one. 45 years of hosting the largest phonograph show in the Country and probably the World needs to go out with a bang like Phonomike says. I hope the Donley's make a decision soon and post something here and online on their website. There is some chatter also that many of the regular dealers will avoid coming to set up. I remember going to the show when they had one in October. I am sure that this virus issue will be over by then.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to make it if were October, so out of greed I hope it gets postponed till next year, but maybe others feel the same
