We have similar size buildings at the Bureau County Fair Grounds. Princeton is right of I-80 exit 56, the sad part it is 100 miles west of Chicago, so it is not near the city. I could also talk to the Mendota Fair board about having an event in Mendota, it is off of I 39, 50 miles south of Rockford. Contact me off list if we want to work on this.

Thanks.
I'm definitely not going now. I was undecided whether or not to go with the rona but today the border shut down was extended until June 21, they made up my mind for me.

To all that go. Have fun and stay safe.

I have finally decided that I will not be attending the June show.
With 700 miles between Home and Union, it's just not worth the risk.

Hopefully it will be postponed for everyone's safety.

I had hoped to have the last Union be my first (and thus only) Union. I’d never made the effort, primarily because it would have been a form of frustration, seeing things that would be hard to buy based on the difficulty of transport back from there to my west coast home. Airfare costs would add to that difficulty.

But in late February when the handwriting appeared on the wall, I read it.

So, sadly, I’ll never get to Union. I’m guessing that the Donnely family will stay with the plan and wash their hands of this in 2020.

Once we get a vaccine those of us that are left will likely press for a replacement show, so let’s look forward to that day.

There may be something to what PeterF is saying. This might be a "take it or leave it" event. They may have it regardless if anyone shows up just to be done with it.

From who is posting on here, it doesn't sound like many of the forum members will be attending.

If this show doesn't get postponed till later when people feel more comfortable heading out again, then this show might only see Jerry B and his group. The very best phonograph show/meet in North America and possibly on earth, might go out as a dud. And that would be the worst thing to have as it's last memory.

Thing is, there's a stay at home order till the end of May in Illinois. After that, they'll likely allow gatherings... of 10 to 25 people or less. Illinois, especially Chicagoland, is turning into a real hot spot for this damn bug right now- only NY and NJ are ahead of Ill. now.
