Looks like you got screwed. :lol: You should have bought it the first time for far less. Predictably, it was "sold" by a different seller the first time...

:lol: Yes well and truly ! But what is really frightening is that there were 7 underbidders who didn't know this was a scam and together they bid it up to Eu 4,850 , :cry:

Perhaps the EU or GB has a similar bureau for investigation of what qualifies as internet crime. Since this thread has a large following, including we Yanks, I thought I would list this for future reference:

Of course you may have to have an actual crime committed with damages suffered by a victim to open a case. At the moment, Soundgen has cleverly thwarted a crime and done us all a service, especially the under-bidders!

Although there were 7 underbidders, perhaps some (or all) were similarly skeptical and just playing along. Also, wouldn’t eBay’s “buyer protection” cover a fraud such as this? And assuming the buyer paid with a credit card, wouldn’t that also add a layer of protection?
