Edison Governor Pad Question

I need to change worn out governor pads in my Edison Triumph D2. According to what I can determine, the pads seem to be made of a dense, hard felt rather than leather as on Victor machines. I have some thick felt, but it is soft, more like turntable felt. I have no idea where to get this type of felt and would appreciate any suggestions as to where to find it.

You might go buy felt floor protectors at the hardware store and cut one down to size.

You could check with a piano repairman- pianos are full of all kinds of felts.

Thank you! I think piano hammer felt might be just right for what I need. I'll look around for some.

You can also use a thick felt guitar pick.
