Not my listing. Hamilton, OH (near Cincinnati) pickup only. Has a lateral adapter too! I hope somebody here grabs it!

"Both motor springs are in great shape."

Does it have an LP upgrade, perhaps? If you make the pilgrimage to pick it up, you might check that out....

I am new to Edisons. What does that mean exactly, Bill?

Well: the London models, as with other lower-priced Edisons, had a single spring motor as standard issue. If it does have two springs, that means it must have been upgraded in the late '20s to accommodate the short-lived 'Long Play' discs. The upgrade should also include the 10 /12 inch selector buttons (to the left of the turntable), and a "Long / Short" shift lever on the right.

The selector buttons, by themselves, may not be conclusive; they were apparently introduced around 1922 in anticipation of the introduction of 12 inch Diamond Discs - though those never appeared except as LPs (for example, my Baby Console has the buttons, but has only a single spring motor)....

Hope this has been of some help.

Bill :)

I noticed that quote too. It would be a nice added plus to have the double spring upgrade. The one picture of the motor is not conclusive ut it looks like just a single spring. Anyway for $70 you can't go wrong.

MY LC-38 has double springs, but no LP attachment but does have the Duncan Automatic stop. I think just just might have made them double spring.
