What style horn did the Victor I come with? The machine I am looking at has the black w/brass horn, the only other photo of a V I I can find shows a morning glory horn. Anyone have a photo of a V I they could post. Thanks

The Victor 1 was sold for many years and went through several major changes. Because of this, several horns would be correct including the black & brass, black flowered, or small oak horn. The little Vic 1 with an 8" turntable is usually seen with the black & brass horn. But many original owners upgraded their machines and a little black flowered horn could also be correct. Also, don't rule out a nice aftermarket horn as being incorrect. Jerry Blais

I own a G & T imported Victor I with the small ALL brass witches hat horn (same size as a 'Trademark'). It has the fabulous red banner transfer which for some odd reason is totally unique to this machine. Why didn't it get used elsewhere?

I own an early Victor I that came originally with the small black petal horn that uses the small elbow that the "E" also shares without the use of the extension.

The later Vic 1 (with 10" table) also came with a small smooth oak horn. Of course as an option. Here is an example that was on CL a few months ago.

One more question - which side is the ID plate on the early Victor I. The machine I am looking at has the Id plate on the right side facing the machine........;.

I believe the ID tag could be on either side opposite the back bracket or crank. That's another way of saying it should be on the front or left side. Jerry Blais
