How do you keep your spouse happy?

It's really important to keep your non-collecting spouse happy. How do you do it? On my trip to Union I bought this candy dish for DeeDee. She loves to entertain and I thought this repurposed ash tray would be perfect. I've been sleeping in the basement ever since. Any suggestions or comments? Jerry B.

By buying lots of gramophones and records and decorative phonographic paraphernalia!

That, and...well...you know! ;)

By NOT buying any more classic cars!

Gramophones and records are no problem as my wife shares my interest, and as we have been married 43 years I must be doing something right.

By not having one! :P

A spouse not in hand is worth two in the bush.

Mine left me... squeezed her out with my collections.

We just bought my Wife a new Toyota about three weeks ago since the Toyota she was driving had reached 331,000 miles after thirteen years of owning it. I promised that if she got a new car that I would clean out the basement and give her a parking space for it inside since she had been parking outside all this time. Well, after two days of moving phonographs around, I was finally able to keep my promise. I had to sacrifice my workspace out in the garage to make it happen, but a promise is a promise.

Oh Jerry, Jerry, Jerry... I do not even know where to begin with this one!

She finds you a 1968 Schwinn Sting Ray, and you bring her an ashtray?

Maybe she did not like the color or maybe it was just the idea of eating something out of what was once used as an ashtray? Keep those blankets and a pillow handy.

Ha!! I laughed at that one. At least with phonographs you can turn them off when you don't feel like listening to them anymore. Also, they are easier to put away and pack. Sarcasm intended!!
