Looking for Ambrose disc

Ambrose and his Orchestra is far from my favourite band, however they perform the best version of Painting The Clouds With Sunshine. I have a copy on re-issue 45rpm but need the original for my machines. The label should be English early Decca. Does anyone know how I could get my hands on a copy? (Tried ebay to no avail, so far.)

Try Greg Butler, trading under the name Greg's Greats. He goes to every record fair and could find the most idiot records for me. He's not cheap though, I payed on average GBP 7 per disc. With P&P you may expect to pay 20 pounds.
He found some of the rarest things for me.

I'd say keep trying with ebay - it will turn up eventually, it just might take a while. Also are you sure its on the Decca label? 1929 - I thought Ambrose was still with HMV at that point - although he did flit about between different companies like Brunswick before moving to Decca.

Thank you. It's always nice to find a new source. I think 20 pounds is a fair price for that 'must-have' record.

The 45 rpm I have has a label fashioned like an early English Decca label. This is a DJ copy that came from the BBC where my sister worked in the 1970s. At that time, the BBC was producing the show 'Pennies From Heaven' and the radio DJs played highlights to promote it. This is the only copy, in any format, that I have some across.
