What kind of machine does this wooden horn fit? Looks like a victor at first, but then again, it looks like the opposite. Star? Lakeside cylinder machine?

I think it's a Columbia. I've seen ones with that black ring on Columbia machines in the past.

hmm. Ususally columbia horns have threaded collars. The maker of the horn, music master, made horns for multiple brands.

Yes, you're right about that. My revised answer, I have no idea...

That's straightforward to identify. It's designed for a 'typical' German or Swiss continental horn machine. Music Master offered at least two styles for disc machines including the Columbia threaded elbow type and this one for a conventional elbow (not Victor).
They couldn't offer a simple connector to a Victor / HMV elbow without infringing Victor patents, hence MM horns rarely turn up on machines from either of these makers.

I have a large mahogany Music Master horn on a big Zonophone and the elbow end is quite small. Perhaps it is a similar horn. Sorry for the dark photo. Jerry Blais

I had a feeling it could be zonophone. It looks very similar on the collar end. Someone got a steal at $500 in my opinion.

I was gonna say: it reminds me of a Vitaphone wooden horn, but those had an extended, stepped cone on the small end.

Isn't it true that any many aftermarket wood horns could be fitted on various machines based on the small end fitting? They were made to be adaptable. Jerry
