Looks like we are moving toward a point where collectors will have to be more clued up to avoid fake machines.

Yes, it is very well made, but new none the less. Reproducer looks original though.

Regarding Indian metalwork; I bought a Roman Helmet last year as a school teaching prop for Roman theme month.

It cost about $65 delivered, from India, and the workmanship is very very good.

Like this (postage costs have increased a bit since last year)

Here is your chance to be the first to own one of these. The horn appears similar to a modified lamp shade.

I lived in Calcutta for several years when I worked for the State Dept. I spent alot of time rumaging around the old bazzars and markets and watched some of these craftsmen do wonders with copper and brass, mostly with the crudest of tools.
