As we go through the daunting task of trying to find that special phonograph asking fellow collectors sometimes yields exceptional success. I had been looking for nice VV-XVIII for several years. Found several, but for whatever reason the acquisition never materialized. A while back I asked Jerry (for the umpteenth time) if he knew where I might locate one. He knew a friend who had a friend who had one and it was for sale! After driving across five states, covering 2,300 miles I had my wish fulfilled. My wife is even allowing me to keep it in the living room for the time being. Here are a couple of photos

Very nice indeed! I sold my XVIII in 1996 and every time I see one I feel a little twinge of regret. There's nothing else quite like them! Congratulations - -

It came with both the 10 inch and 12 inch binders. They were even full of records.

What a bonus. The 10 inch "P" binder was only used in the 17 & 18. Therefore, hard to find if you need it.

What a beautiful machine! It's my absolute favorite of the Victor floor models. I had one in walnut for several years but sold it to a friend in 2000. I miss it sometimes, but when I get out east to his place I get to admire it. In my house, it was one of a lineup of machines in my finished basement, but in his 1927 vintage dining room it has lots of room to be seen.
