I was looking at the listing under live auctioneers and came across the Edison. Not sure, but I think it is a class M machine. Unfortunately it is not in the US. However, someone might be interested. Just click on the link to view. Edison Phonograph

yes its a class M and a nice one at that!, the dates wrong though, i would assume this is mid-late 1890's

I am not sure that the date is wrong. Isn't this a Balmoral? If so, the Balmoral was made from 1905 to 1910 if I remember correctly.

I believe the case style is too early to be a Balmoral. The Balmoral had the following case style:

This one appears to have a vertical carriage and model C reproducer perhaps it is Balmoral which was a name for the late Class M, I think they made them up until 1906. The case though looks refinished, and earlier than a Balmoral. It though looks lika an early 1890s case.

The upper bed plate on this machine is early Class M with the adjustable carriage rail. The Balmoral had the late Spring Motor / Early Triumph upper bedplate which the carriage rail was not adjustable.
