No, in fact, never heard of them before either! How cool is that? Judging by that photo, it looks like many titles were produced. You learn something new every day!

Fascinating! I wonder if they had any authorized connection to the Victor company? I doubt it, but possibly the south american branch was run a bit differently, like the victor company of japan.

Interesting - there were many companies named Victor back then. But using the Nipper logo??? Thomas Edison's name was stolen many times also. I have two Edison wood tube cathedral shaped table radios that stole the Edison name. Both made in Newark New Jersey too. I think Charles sued and had them shut down?

When I first read the title of the post, I immediately thought that "Victor" was a common business name but I was WRONG! The "trademark" on the rolls would indicate otherwise. This is very interesting and thanks for sharing. Jerry Blais

Because of the glare I can't read the title to see if this is a vocal or operatic piece. There were some roll and record combinations offered but it was short lived. The idea was the piano would provide the accompaniment and the record would have the artist singing. It was not a good working idea. If the piano wasn't in tune, the phonograph at the correct speed and the roll played at the correct tempo to keep it all in synchronization it was awful. I have never seen one of these rolls either so don't know if the one pictured is from this series.
