Edison B Mandrell Factory Part Question.

Hello to everyone here,
I have a question how can you tell if a mandrell is New Old stock or can you>?
I picked up this one on ebay and well when it arrived. I have closely inspected this part. it seels that the tiny screw still has the blueish tint like it just came from the factory. (See attached pic )
I like your opnion. I am going to use this on my Edison B home restoration.
