Hello I am going to be painting my Edison B Home Bedpalte and other top parts.
I purchased 2 cans of Black Laquer spray Paint. I want to make it close to factory Orignal as close as possible.
My Question is this is this what edison may have used at the factory> ?
I appreciate any help with this.

Thanks So Much Everyone.

Edison used a technique called "japanning" on bedplates. I'm attaching a couple of links that describe the black japanning process, as well as some sources where you can buy a similar product to Edison's process. I have not tried either of these, so can't comment on how well they might work.

Hope this helps.
