Folks, this listing look very suspect......

The seller is using the same pictures as the original listing which was sold on March 27th. Seller has no rating. Seller is different from previous buyer. This machine originally sold for $13,223.00

New listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Antique-18 ... 43b586313a

Original listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-E-Amet- ... 7675.l2557

Steve,

Thanks very much! I was also suspicious when I saw this, & thought I had seen this machine somewhere before.

You are right - 0 feedback, top machine. Bet if someone asks to have a look in person, the machine will be at the sellers grandfathers house in Peru or Latvia

I'm not talking about it, I am WARNING you about it!

I won't inform Ebay because I don't have proof that it's not a valid auction thus my subject description being, "Possible Fraud Alert....."

Seller contacted me after I asked to see some pictures I knew he didn't have (see below). I sent him a response asking for his phone number and told him I could pick the machine up at his home since I lived nearby. Going to Spain??? My rear end!

My Amet Cylinder Phonograph is not on ebay anymore, but it's still available for sale.
My usual schedule has been changed and I had to go to Spain to take care of some business and that's why I closed my auction.
The final price for the phonograph is US $ 3,700.00 including all the shipping costs and insurance.
Also I want to let you know that you will have the opportunity to receive and inspect the phonograph before you actually pay for it. If you are interested and want to know more details regarding the purchase just contact me.
Thanks,
Ryan

The real irony is that the actual owner of that machine, the one that sold on eBay in March, has also been in contact with the seller and received the same story.

The machine in question has been beautifully restored since its acquisition last March.
