Craigslist Goodies

Here are a pair of great deals from my local area:

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/atq/3446071720.html
One needs a couple of parts and the other has a unique storage area.

I think we can safely let these links expire in due time. John

Humm. On the first one, wonder what's with the hole where I think a motor board lift knob should be?

I think even to the untrained eye....it is missing every part related to actually playing a record except for the tone arm.
I also like the "Edison style Silvertone Victrola", covers almost every base.

Damm - that was a very nice Silvertone once.

I bet the little holes in the VV-IX deck are finger holes to help lift it from the cabinet. Jerry

If so, I don't think Victor put them there.

Yea, while admittedly there are some Victor machines I have yet to see "up close and personal," I have never seen them use holes as motor board lifting devices. With this model it is normally a metal knob.

Looks like a nice early VV IX, but the brake seems to be missing too. Might be worth a look if anyone needs an early style motor.
