Via this forum, I was contacted last month by somebody who confirmed that he had one for an Invincible, Grand or Elite, but sent me a take-off from a later console model, which won't fit my Grand. Of course, the kind fellow won't refund my money, even though he misrepresented what he was selling. So I'm out $350 and I'm still looking for one more wooden tone arm that would be compatible with an Invincible, Grand or Elite.
A lesson to be learned: even though I paid him through PayPal, he requested I send the money as a "gift" to save him fees. Thus, there is no recourse in dealing with PayPal either. I'm a dealer and should have known better, but my experience dealing with phonograph and music box people has usually been 100% fair and honest, and this guy caught me with my pants down. If anybody wants his name, I'll be glad to disclose it.

He should definately give a refund since you cannot use the tonearm. I would post his info for all to see and let him know you're plans, you might get you're money back.

Thank you for the heads-up. Unfortunately it doesn't include the mounting post/elbow, which I also need. Raphael

I would like you to post this person's info right here as not to make the same mistake and accidently buy something from him - especially if he or she is a member of this forum? Honesty is something my parents drilled into me and I get upset when someone gets cheated by a fellow collector. (or anyone as a matter of fact) :x :x :x :x :x :x

Thanks, but it is not a wood tone arm, which is what I'm looking for. I have an oak "Grand" that I want to retrofit with a wood tone arm. My restoration shop would love to take a crack at wood-training it, they have done wonders with Opera horn elbows.

Hi Raphael

There are a couple of video's that show a wood tonearm playing a record. You have to click on the thumbnail that has the correct wood tonearm.

Good luck
