Nice phonograph. I suspect your record is moldy. Not worn. With patience, you can get records that are not moldy. INdestructable two min. cylinders will also work fine.

The correct speed for these records, and, you are very close to it, is 160 RPM.
You can check the speed by putting a very small piece of paper under the recird with the edge just sticking out.
Count how manny times the piece of paper goes past one point, over 1 min. time. It should be 160 revolutions.
Nice sounding machine, and, very nice horn. I have a standard horn on my midel B standard with an original Edison crane. I'm happy with it.

You're right Bill, I should have used one of my indestructible/ oxford cylinder records. Such as my King Cotton March! 1151. Probably would have been better.

Who Knows maybe I will do a vid on it.
