I found this Robert Johnson on ebay! Could someone please explain the high price?
You could buy a car for the amount they are asking!
I would love a Robert Johnson 78, but not for that price!

If you did buy a car with the money, perhaps it could be a nice Terraplane from the late '30's.

The seller wants to make a lot of money off of that record.
Despite the fact that the grooves are greyed out and that was Johnson's biggest selling record, which probably makes the most copies of those still floating around.
Considering what Johnson records go for now, generally, a few hundred bucks for that record wouldn't seem unreasonable if you were that into it.

Actually I do like Robert Johnson, and would like to own a copy, but not for $3,000.00.

I also like Robert Johnson, and a big fan of pre-war blues. But I wouldn't likely pay multi-thousands for any one record, especially when many of them can be had in nice transfers by companies like Yazoo, etc.
I got the Robert Johnson
Centennial Edition a year or two ago. 10 bucks for all his 78's on 2 CD's, in very good sound.
For trophy pieces, if I had the money to just throw around, maybe a Charley Patton or something.

Charley Patton. Yea, I forgot about him. That would be a nice one as well. I did have a online friend of mine send me a whole bunch of Robert Johnson MP3's that I burned to a CD. Yea, I still use CD's.
