I am trying to put back together an XVIII that was in pretty rough shape. I am in need of some parts, however. I need a crank, crank escutcheon, horn, tone arm, tone arm bracket, and wood needle cup holder. The tone arm is the longer skinnier gold plated version, and not the shorter fat version. Any help is appreciated, as always! The motor, speed indicator, motor board support and lift knob are "in the mail"--Thanks fmblizz!!!!
The measurements of the horn at the opening are: opening behind the horn doors is 16" x 9 ¼" and the interior of the horn compartment from wall to wall is ~18" and interior height is ~11". The back bracket bolt holes are in a triangular pattern with 3 inches between the rear two hole and 2 inches between both rear holes and the single front hole (measurements were made on center).
Here is the thread on the restoration:

Below is an image from the motor board with a drawing of the motor needed.

I am also in need of a lid support for this model. There should be 4 screws for the lid attachment and 2 for the lower (near motor board) attachment plate. I have the screws and both the upper and lower brackets, just not the arm that goes in between. I realize no one will sell just the arm, but I do know the style I need. The same style is used on a 1912 VV-XVI that I have.
I tried the tone arm from my XVI and it fit perfectly. Below is a picture of that tone arm and bracket.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
The arm shown is not correct for the VV-XVIII. It is the later arm(still skinny), but without the nub that is shown in the picture. The nub should be indented. The arm shown was last used in 1913, and the VV-XVIII came out in 1915. Fortunately, that later arm is easier to come by. I see them for sale on ebay. These arms were used from 1913-16. I hope this helps.

Thanks Phonofreak. Rizbone has a tonearm on the way for me! I am still in need of some parts, however. I need a crank, crank escutcheon, horn, and wood needle cup holder. The motor board that is coming is missing the cover for the speed control if anyone happens to have one. Even nickel would be acceptable (I can have it replated later).
See above for the dimensions of the horn needed.
I am willing to buy or trade. I have 2 nickel needle cups if anyone would take one in trade. I also have a 2 piece back bracket for a VTLA with thumbscrew available. I have a working 2 spring motor, an orthophonic turntable (felt in poor shape, but plating is good), and a 12 inch turntable with with green felt and nickel plating. Not much, but it is what I have in case anyone needs any of these.
If you have any of the needed parts for sale, please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt
