Just picked up my new addition over the weekend. It is a very nice Victor VTLA serial # 8854 purchased January of 1909. Owner was an 85 year young lady. She did a great job caring for it over the years since she inherited it. Also came with some of the original catalogs.

Wow, great find. I love the included ephemera and also the original record boxes. Are two missing or do you have all of them?
Enjoy!

There are three missing record boxes "G", "I", and "J". If any has any of the three please let me know. I have several of the record albums but not the boxes with the snap. Thanks for the nice comments.

That's the way to find them, all right. It's great to get the ephemera too. I'm kind of surprised to see the two earlier cards included with a Victrola.
How about some photos with the doors closed, and under the lid?
Congratulations!

Lovely machine. I especially like the fact that the finish inside the doors match the outside of the lid. It must have been kept out of direct sunlight. I too would love to see a photo of the front. Jerry Blais

What a great machine. I'm envious! The VTLA with the frieze is my favorite. I thought I liked it in Mahogany better, but after seeing yours in Oak, I'll have to adjust my shopping list!

Congratulations!

OOPS - That IS Mahogany, isn't it? I'm looking at a small screen and I mistook the figuring on the lid for Oak. I'll hold on to my list as it is, then.

I will echo the previous comments. Beautiful machine, and congratulations!!
This ebay listing has ended, but it looks as though the record box did not sell. I think the seller had more than one for sale at the time. You might inquire if they still have any boxes. Here is the link:

Did yours come with a key? There is one on eBay currently. They do not come up often, so if you need one it is work a look. I have a "look a like" VTLA wreath key. It is not a genuine victor key, but very close. If you need a key and don't mind the copy, let me know. It is yours for postage.
Good luck!
Matt

Rich,
Way to go!
That's a great VTLA.
Was it a local (NJ) find?
Congratulations!
