Cylinder record carrier

Is this a cylinder record carrier? I think it might be for Ediphone records but cannot remember.

Yep - that's for Ediphone/Dictaphone cylinders.

Here is a German record carrier of 1898 with six-inch long cylinders, next to a business phonograph.
