Newbie Parts Question

Hello everyone. I'm brand new to this & maybe someone can help? Recently had the opportunity to acquire an Edison B80 diamond disc phonograph (luv it!) - and it turns out we need some replacement parts. Is there a resource you can recommend, or do I have to hunt all over the Internet? Specifically a crank, to start (maybe more, we'll see). Thanks. Sushigirl

Welcome aboard. You may want to try [email protected]. George Vollema. He is usually great on parts. In fact I purchased the 4 wood feet for my B-80 from George.

Good luck.

The B80 is common enough that parts should turn up. Post a WTB in this site's Yankee Trader and also watch eBay for parts.

Thanks to you both. I hope I can get one quickly, because as soon as it can be wound up, then I can maybe tell what other things need replacing. Sushigirl

B-80 takes a regular Edison female-threaded nickel-plated crank same as a Fireside/Standard/Home/Triumph cylinder Phonograph. These are common and reproductions are available, too.

I purchased a reproduction crank from Wyatt's Musical Americana and I am quite happy with it. Just google the name and call him. Note the phone hours, and no internet ordering, but I have been pleased.

Go to the "Links" section of the Forum and click on "Repairs, Parts..." You'll find Musical Americana and Ron Sitko and others there. Jerry Blais
