There is a Yagerphone, which I believe is a British machine, for sale at a low price in my area. Was curious as to the background of these machines and as to opinions about their quality. Haven't found much helpful on the net.

The Yagerphone was made in London, and was one of many British makes assembled from bought in components and sold at relatively low prices.

Although I have never heard one, I saw one on UK eBay a few years ago. The cabinet style resembled an HMV 163, but I suspect that there the resemblance ended.

Having said that, a Yagerphone would be a great rarity in the USA, but not a valuable one.
