This is kind of off topic, but I ran across this rather fine portrait of Kreisler in a copy of Studio Light for January 1930. This was Kodak's publication for professional photographers. This issue features the portraits of H.T. Koshiba of New York. They are all first rate. I'm a Kreisler nut and I've never seen this photo elsewhere. I would think it dates from about 1925: by 1930 Fritz had begun to gray.

A very nice portrait.

A few weeks ago I was at a local art gallery and a young violinist was there with his grandmother. He had mentioned that she requested the Kreisler selection he played. It made me smile. I spoke with him later and told him that I listen to Kriesler on original Victor records using a Victor Phonograph. That made him smile.
