Ada Jones was a very popular singer in the early part of the 20th century, and this was a very successful record of hers, recorded in 1909. May be familiar to some.

I can’t say that I’m familiar with this one (or even remotely knowledgeable about Broadway musicals), but if anyone is interested in it,
here is a song list for the production, and
here is more information about the production.
Apparently it was performed
289 times between
15 June, 1908 and
20 March, 1909.

Great song.
A little over 100 years to the day that the production closed on Broadway.

An absolutely great disc! Now I have to dig out my copy of it and play it on a machine...
I've always enjoyed Ada Jones and I grab her records whenever I find them. I think my favorite is her and Bob Roberts' Columbia disc of "Shine On Harvest Moon".
Here is a neat pic of Ada....

Thanxs for the pic. I too will not hesitate to pick up an Ada Jones record when they happen to turn up.
