I think this is only the second time I've pointed out an eBay listing - - the bad ones are all too common. This one rises above the norm. Give the seller points for originality!

I also saw this ad the other day. I thought the obit. was a nice touch.... I guess the Home (whats left) got too much water on it from the fire...????. The seller forgot to mention it was a "barn" fire.... .

I think I'll "past" on this one. So his ancestor worked for the power company. Big deal. Such a bargain!

Claiming it was salvaged from the Titanic might have been more believable - and added to the value!

Halfway through the week the seller dropped the Buy It Now in half, but obviously got no nibbles. In fact, not a single bid. Then again, it's not worth the $40 starting price (plus shipping), and there was a reserve so it was obvious that he wanted a lot more than $40 anyway.

Now it's relisted at $40, with no reserve, and Buy It Now at $250. That's a $1K drop from his initial high hopes. I'll be very surprised if anyone pays $40 for it.
