Having trouble removing grill so I can repair it's cloth. The frame is loose, I removed the doors and there is very little left to right movement. The frame seems to be up against some bracing inside the cabinet, which limits it's movement. Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

I just finished putting mine back together after checking the horn for air leaks. When you remove the motor board, the grill will slide out of the top. I took the doors off as well

live and learn!

I want to "slide" the grille out of my Credenza X without destroying the cloth (as seems unavoidable) , so I purposely failed to humidify the house this Winter. All I've accomplished is destroying my sinuses, which cannot stand the dry air !
WHY Victor put these things down in a groove makes no sense to me; it's as if they were defying The Future from seeing their horn sealing skills . On my later 8-30 X, the grille pops right off - and their horn sealing skills stank, by the way !

I was very lucky, mine only needed the dust of the ages cleaned out. There was a paste board slip with perforations folded and stuck in the middle. It had a place for a name and date for each step of the assembly finishing process. Someone at Victor may have been in trouble that day!
