I've never heard of this machine before - fut it's very good-looking and at a great price. Any info?

Notice the crank, something is wrong there.

I never heard of that company, but there were hundreds of them for a while after some basic phonograph patents expired. There have been similar booms in the automobile, radio and computer industries.

the oak is nice, but watch out for that likely pot metal tonearm/reproducer assembly.

Often brass name plates were the mark of a small company - maybe they were cheaper to make in a small run than a decal.
