Pot-metal Blues

No, that is not the name of an early blues disc, although maybe it should be.

I just discovered that my Columbia AT would no longer play properly and upon investigation found that I had been visited by the Columbia curse. That is, 2 different pot-metal parts of the reproducer carriage assembly had disintegrated. I seem to remember that somebody was making reproductions. Does anybody know who that might have been and if they are still available? Other suggestions?

Try Jean-Paul Agnard (pronounced "ann-yard"):

I don't see the carriage sleeves listed, but I'm pretty sure he has them.

Good luck!

I have a Pot-metal Nest of Vipers in the freezer, right now: a pot-metal adapter stuck in a cast iron carriage, pot-metal adapter stuck to pot-metal H reproducer, AND the brass swivel tube stuck to the H ! yikes !

Dropped the AT carriage assembly into the mail to Jean-Paul for repair today. Will let you know how it all turned out in a few weeks. Much to my relief he indicated he could rebuild it for me.
