Edison GEM "Crapophone"

I have an Edison Gem case that was broken at the cylinder mandrel. The missing pieces are long gone. It was too badly damaged to consider a restoration so I constructed an extension piece and built a mandrel that would accomodate a toilet paper roll. I made a straight shaft with a crank that made it possible to "Unroll" as you need. I'm going to put it on the wall in the bathroom next to our phonograph room. I don't know if it is a two minute or four minute machine....that depends on your constitution !

That certainly does redefine the term, doesn't it?
A cute concept!
