Columbia reproducer problem

I had to buy parts for a Home Phonograph so I decided to get a new mica and gaskets for a Columbia reproducer as well... the problem is that the new gasket tubing diameter is a tad too small and it doesn't hold the mica properly (it's a bit loose). I tried it and obviously it wasn't great.
I guess this is a typical case of "if it aint broke, don't fix it". dumb...

any ideas on how I could fix it? I measured the tubing diameter at ⅛ inch and 5/32 would be just great.
this isn't my reproducer but it's just the same...

The most obvious solution would be to find larger tubing. I know there are a couple sizes available from phonograph dealers. Try searching this website for a dealer named Ron Sitko, he might have it.

A makeshift idea would be inserting a thin flat gasket under the lower tubing as a shim.

Ron Sitko (see links section of the Forum) has the slightly larger tubing for your Columbia reproducer. Jerry
