This Adler-Royal console is a bit pricy, and all the components are Swiss imports, but check out the scenic fretwork grille!

I like it, looks like a cross between a Victor and a Columbia.

Nifty ! The grille-work is definitely the high-point of the machine.
Taper-tube looks like it was Victor-inspired...

Here's another one:
http://www.jtl.us/joesradiopage/royal.html It seems that Royal was the phonograph brand and Adler supplied the radio equipment when installed.
They certainly had a good cabinet plant.

Adler-Royal was a furniture manufacturer. The radio equipment in Adler radio sets was initially supplied by King-Hinners, and later on by Colonial and then Clinton. Later on, Adler-Royal was a well-known manufacturer of office furniture.
King-Hinners and Adler-Royal supplied some items to Sears Roebuck & Company in the 1924-1929 period, generally top-of-the-line merchandise.

I had a Chicago friend in the early internet days with whom I mostly shared an interest in Grundig radios. I remember that he had a vintage phonograph which he tried to interest me in (I was in my beginning collecting days), and it was indeed a Royal. I had forgotten about it till now. I believe it was also a console with a similar grill...
