Shipping a floor model phonograph

I've found a phonograph that I would like to have shipped from Colorado to Texas. I've never shipped anything like this before. Where do I start? Anybody have experience with shipping a floor model machine?

The usual recommendations are uship and antique transport, both on the web.
Uship is a network of independent transportation companies that bid against each other for your business. Antique transport is dedicated solely to shiopping antiques. You'll find discussions of both on the board.
