Hello everyone. First off, thanks for all the help you guys have given me so far. My next thing is that I want to convert my Edison Standard B to play 4 minute cylinders as well. I have been looking for gears for a while now (that were within the price range of a recent college graduate), and I think I found some, but I just want to make sure that these are complete and will work well for me. Will you please take a look, since I can't figure out how to load the pictures off from ebay? Thanks!

The gear cover is missing and I think there's a gear on the mandrel shaft that is missing. It's really tough to buy parts to convert a machine. It's much easier to buy a 2&4 minute machine to begin with. (But that's water under the bridge) Good luck. Jerry

IMHO if you want to buy this kind of thing get it from a good/knowledgeable seller and buy the COMPLETE unit... buying all the bits from various sellers will eventually cost much much more and it might still not work at the end. :ugeek:

check croakinfrog on Ebay, he's got the stuff you need to convert your machine.

indeed it's not cheap but it should work; I've dealt with him and he's a good guy and he knows the stuff.

cheers and good luck with the machine. :D

Froggy has a cheaper one without the gear cover, which you don't really need if you're just looking to play records: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-4-GEARING-FOR ... 0823697034
