Is this a British portable? Need help with identification...

I had an inquiry from a lady in NC who has this machine... anyone have any ideas what it might be?

No, I don't think it's British. It certainly looks American to me.

I had one of those some years ago, branded "Buddy" ,which would suggest that it was made by Aluminum Specialty or Southern Aluminum. My machine had been fitted with the typical "Aluminum Specialty" reproducer, which was a die-cast mica diaphragm unit with a cover and a little aluminum horn on the outside of the diaphragm.
