Mislabeled Diamond Discs?

Someone commented on one of my Diamond Disc videos that the music playing was not what was described in the title, which of course I took from the label on the record. Turns out, based on researching the matrix numbers, he was right. What was really disc 51164 had been labeled as 51166 on both sides.
This is a first for me, at least on Diamond Discs. Has anyone else come across this? Do we know anything about the process of how these discs were labeled?
(I have of course updated the video with the correct info.)

I have at least one that's mislabeled and others have commented on it too. I think it happened from time to time with the paper labels. I also have one etched label disc that is labelled correctly but is coupled incorrectly, i.e 82221L coupled with 80614R.

I recently bought DD#82229R, Casta Diva by Freida Hempel. When I took a good look at it, I noticed that the other side was labeled 82254R, a selection by Mario Laurenti. The record is actually 82229 with both sides by Hempel but the Casta Diva label is on the wrong side! I had to look at the DD listings and use matrix numbers to sort this one out.

Wow, I assume this is a paper labeled disc?

I too have one of these mislabeled Diamond Discs. Mine is an early etched one. Its stamped labels and matrix numbers are for the titles for 50106, but the edge stamp is for 50143--and as far as I can determine the edge- stamped number is correct.
My DD collection is now up to 574 and this is the only such mistake I've found among them.

Yes, it is a paper label. Sorry, I should have added that in the first place.

I have several times obtained edisons that had the wrong paper label. I would attribute it to the fact the labels often are loose or missing all together. Perhaps someone who had them glued them back on thinking they had the right title but they didn't. I was surprised to find that a record I got with a Hawaiian label actually was Lucky Lindbergh.
