I don't mind getting out on the road if the treasures are worth the trip. Seems like a lot of really nice machines are selling lately and I couldn't resist in a couple of cases. There were a few I passed up but also was able to get some nice machines that you don't see every day. No fantastic bargains and one exhausting drive but worth it (maybe).I think maybe I need to collect stamps instead!!Take a look--

Nice! I love my XVIII. That VV-130 in Oak is stunning! How do I know it's a 130 and not an XVII...? Anyone else know? :D

Schweg,
All of your latest finds are beautiful, but I like the oak 130 best.
I've owned several mahogany XVIIs in my lifetime, but never a XVII or 130 in oak!
Enjoy!

That Aeolian - Vocalion is a beauty, but those are monstrously big.

I had an American walnut VV-XVIII some years ago. I think that it is the finest looking regular production machine Victor ever made, much nicer than the XVII or 130. One day a friend who admired it made me an offer I couldn't refuse (top retail at the time) and it went to a new home. I still miss it sometimes but I have made 2 major moves since then and it would probably have been sold by now anyway. This way, I can at least go visit it once in a while.
